Actually it is serious, I tried to explain.I am restless with severe stomach ache and nausea My voice choked and trembled due to apathy and the pathology both.I put up my leave application , medical reports and prescriptions expecting some soft words.But, came the reaction--how many days rest will u require?
I said I don'nt know , the doctor will tell me.
Administration:how to get the government work done under such conditions.

which career should I follow

The undergradutes generally ask this question.I tell them:
listen to ur heart.what do u lov to do?
Then comes the popular quote:if u follow ur passion or hobby u will not be working even a single day.

Broadly , there are foll 3 options:

Go for still hr studies only if u are interested.
Join a job if u wish to.
If interested one can start a small enterprise.

One should opt a career of choice and not compulsion.

Share your dream !

This definitely excites young people.
You must share what u wish to do in life.
Certainly not everyone will feel free to share their dreams.
Then I generally say does not matter even if u want to act in movies, or be a singer or a chef, no problem in sharing because we are just dicussing dreams.
Then one after the other they open up.
Then the awaited one:mam if I really wish to join movies.
I say:it is a great idea, but u have to be methodical about pursuing any career.

The most important thing: after a certain age do not keep expecting from parents to fund your travel , training and course expenses.
By the time u finish ur graduation or at the most post graduation u must be able to share financial responsibility.

Involving students in the teaching process

Listening to lectures passively does not attract students to the classrooms.There are other things which fascinate young people such as online reading material nd activities.It seems we are far behind in fufilling the expectations of today's youth.College students are full of energy .They are excited to perform.
We must shift from conventional lecture method of teaching to participatory/seminar method.Students should be asked to prepare small portions of syllabus and present in the classroom.Others must also read the topic so that a discussion is initiated .The presentation should be audio-visual either computer aided or simply with the help of posters and classroom boards.
Field visits would further help in generating enthusiasm of students.A better place for teaching environmental science would definitely be outside classroom.It could be college garden, any nearby water body or a field nearby.
